What is PBIS and Why Do I Need It?
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a program that aims to establish a school culture that provides behavior supports that contribute to social, emotional, and academic success. The research shows that social and emotional education (like teaching Social Skills and Expectations) contributes to an increase in both grades and standardized test scores (Durlak, 2011).
